Details

Based on a book written under a pseudonym by Stephen King, this film tells the cautionary tale of 300-pound lawyer Billy Halleck (Robert John Burke), who accidentally runs over an old gypsy woman. He persuades his cronies to exonerate him of any blame, but has a curse placed upon him by the chief of the gypsy tribe. Billy begins to lose weight drastically, and is at first pleased. But when he literally begins to waste away, he calls on a gangster friend (Joe Mantegna) to put pressure on the gypsy and rescind the curse.
